Thanks to Wm Rowe

I got a research fellowship at the University of Michigan and recently moved to Ann Arbor. Because I didn’t have a lot of money for a down payment on a home ( I have been working on my doctorate for six years!) I needed to find a roommate fast. I contacted the department that I would be working in and asked them to help. They suggested that I call a professor in the department that may have a room for rent. Luckily, a professor emeritus ( funny little old man) had a room for rent. I had never had a male roommate before and knew that I could be in for a trip, but decided to give it a try. Dr. John, the professor, was very welcoming. He had lived in his home for the last twenty years. When I moved in he contacted ADT Ann Arbor to get an alarm system because he thought that I may feel safer. I have to admit he can be a little quirky, but what 70 year old psychology professor isn’t? He is a great roommate.
