Succeeded!

Looks like I’ve succeeded in persuading my elder siblings in keeping dad under ‘gaming limits’. :D w00t! We’ve also compiled a list of trustworthy online casinos for real money from the LonelyHeartCasino rating guide for dad to use. At least we feel safe now, and dad will not realize our plans, because… he’s just not the type. ^^” Oh well, problem solved! I feel so much relieved now. :)

Casinos online: my father’s got a new addiction -_-

March 13, 2010   Filed Under: Family, Reflections, Updates   174 words

Just talked about drug addiction two entries ago, and here my father comes up with a *NEW* addiction to pile up on his several problems already: playing casinos online. Not that that is bad per se, since there are many gaming sites that are trustworthy and put up very strict rules for players to follow if they want to play fair (see the section on Best Online Casinos – Play Highest Paying Online Casino Games) but I should remind my father that getting addicted to that kind of games is not healthy TO HIM, because he’s not overcome all of his mental issues yet, and he might get the whole family into bankrupcy. >.<

So, what’s the plan now? I’m thinking of persuading my big brothers Cyclonus and Sheriff to follow dad along when he plays online and at real casinos, give him gentle advice and tips not to allow him to get in trouble. Hope it works!

A message to all those drug addicted souls seeking for help

March 10, 2010   Filed Under: Charity, Reflections, Updates   313 words

It’s very upsetting when stuff comes up to prohibit me from using the Internet connection. -_- Anyway, I’ve not been the only one to experience this issue lately… the rest of our citizens were in the same condition, and it took up a while because we had to change ISP once again. Oh well… I’ll tell you more about this story in my next entry.

I just wish to write a reflection over drug addiction tonight, and about some ways to fight it by taking courage and seeking for help from friends, family, and specialized center. An example: the Illinois Drug Rehab center can offer some help and advice, even by phone. Sure, Illinois citizens can take full advantage of it, but why not take a simple phone call in consideration? :) Precious advice and guiding through your issues, and getting a word of comfort and courage… that can be a good start, so I’d really suggest this center for Drug Rehab in Illinois for a phone call or an appointment if you live nearby. The Illinois Drug Rehabilitation is not the only one around though, so make sure to look for specialized help in your place.

Keep this thing in mind: addiction – of ANY kind – is a mental state, one in which we try desperately to hold on something (drug, alcohol, cigaretters, etc.) that makes us feel safer, where we can vent all our depression and frustration. Healing from drug addiction is a matter of healing inside your heart, so seek for people, for their kindness, for their support in fighting this ‘illness’. You’ll see, the road to full healing will be smoother. :)
