Experimenting at work

January 28, 2010   Filed Under: Job, Robocity Leaders, Updates   343 words

The other two Leaders and I are trying to experiment a bit with new ways to get in touch with or fellow Robocitans and mantain the city with the resources we have.

It’s like when we do a market research online: we need to get quality consumer data to be able to improve our politics and decisions regarding marketing and finance administration. Robocity is our hands, and obviously you can understand how much work we Leaders have on our hands when it comes to keep it all balanced. We need to keep track of the citizens’ consumes to understand what we need to do to improve the city’s overall well-being AND mantain everyone in a decent living condition.

Even online, we Leaders are going to setup a consumer panel to get our citizens to share more about their feelings and dis/satisfaction about the services we provide the rest of the crew with.

Personally, I’m going to experiment a market research panel (like uSamp) on a section of my website and involve the other Leaders and a few Robocitans as testers. If needed, we’ll start getting more feedback from the citizens ONLINE rather than offline, since over the years the population has grown a lot, and it would be impossible to reunite all of them in the Meeting Room; nowaday every Robocitan has a computer with a Internet connection, so it’s going to be a lot easier to get feedback this way.

Also, we’re developing a series of websites that have the precise purpose of keeping our citizens informed about every little and big event and decision that involves the city and our little community.

Granted, we’re going to need the Robocitans to collaborate on this project, but hopefully they will do it willingly. :) This should be exactly what we needed in so many years.

Robocity can’t close its heart

January 26, 2010   Filed Under: Daily Life, Job, Robocity Leaders, Updates   252 words

I’m amazed at the big number of robots who recently became Robocity citizens! :) This must be the greatest record in all our town’s history, and I’m really happy that the other two Leaders agreed when I proposed to re-open the immigration process! Now poor and scrapped robots can find a refuge in Robocity again, just like our beloved Founder had wanted in the first place.

What would Robocity ever be without its open heart to the ones in need? This town was born for that purpose, and thus closing the doors to immigrants would be killing it at its very heart. No, Robocity just CAN’T close. Never.

Actually, I hope more Robocitans are going to join in the next months. Yes, I do hope that, because only more citizens can make this city grow up and mature at its own core. AND we welcome human beings too! They would need other permissions too, but you see, human beings are not kicked out of here: our Leader Shotfire, for instance, has a human girlfriend and a human adopted son, and they’re sweet people to cohabit with. I really have nothing against humans, and I hope others in Robocity think alike too.

Anyway, I’m off to sleep now. Tomorrow I got to go out and buy a few chevy accessories for a friend, so I need to wake up early.

See ya.

Happy 2010, friends & Robocitans!!

January 10, 2010   Filed Under: Job, New Year, Robocity Events, Robocity Leaders, Updates   152 words

First of all… HAPPY 2010!!! :D Woah, in mere 4 days of time it will by EileenSON’s 2nd anniversary (Jan. 14th). Amazing, isn’t it? Time flies so quickly, but my feelings – those for my mom – will never fly away. I’ll love her forever, and that’s why I’m keeping this domain forever too. :)

So for the news, a bunch of new Robocitans who joined the community three days ago: Erin, Amanda, Lucy, Krista, Steffany, Lisa, Chloe, Natasha, Plench, Hightower and Flexia. Welcome to Robocity folks! :D It’s a honor to be your Leader.

I hope I can get Shotfire and Commander Police to engage into another rescue mission to find out about abandoned or scrapped robots around the world. Hopefully, I’ll get to administer this part of the Leadership. Oh, let’s hope so!

‘Till later dudes. ^_-
