I came through this website while doing an online research for school this early morning, but since I had to rush to classes I just bookmarked it to be able to blog about it later :) Now I’m back home and I can finally dedicate some words to it. So… this contest is an initiative of the organization known as SPENDonLIFE, and it is willing to give out $2000 scholarship to the winner student who shall post a blog entry about the influence of credit on people’s (and students’) lives. It is very simple and every student who’s at least 18, attending college or university and with a spam-less blog can partecipate. Deadline of the contest is December 1st of 2008.

Sometimes contests like these make me think that gladly there’s still someone out there who gives value to students’ blogging, and is willing to help them financially with their scholarships, that many people in not-so-happy financial conditions know how hard to maintain they are. I know the winner of this contest is going to be only one, but I’m convinced that even students who don’t win will feel happy to have at least taken part of it. The subject of the contest pushes your brain to work and to reflect on life, and the fact itself that your blog was directly interested would make you proud to be a blogger. Blogging is much more than a useless free time activity for young people :) It’s actually more powerful than we ever thought.
