On the tight side

May 19, 2011 ~ Filed Under: Robocity Leaders, Updates, Volunteering ~ 262 words

I’m quite proud of my friends and fellow Robocitans for the great help they’re providing in order to promote our websites, communities and services. :) A special thank you goes to:

  • Magnus A. ~ for volunteering in creating and managing our page on Squidoo
  • Ironhide F. ~ for helping Magnus out with content writing on Squidoo
  • Starscream S. ~ for managing contents on our HubPages site
  • Commander A. (ex-leader) ~ for volunteering on article writing for us

This year Robocitans’ budget sure is tight. We students have to rely on donated books from charity, or go rent college textbooks online. Parents and orphans have to give up on buying food and eat at our communitarian canteen. Not that it’s bad thing, mind you… Robocity was born like that after all. I’m only appalled with the amount of poverty between our citizens. We have to strive to reach the end of the month, to make our balances fit our lifestyle. Trust me, it’s not easy, especially with the construction work and loans we needed on the end of 2010.

As for textbooks, I need to ask you readers for a little help in letting me know what free resources are available around the Web. If we can spend less on books (eBay and ValoreBooks.com are good options too) there will be more to bring food on our tables and electricity in our homes. :)
